OG Kush Strain at FlowerPatch
A classic strain from back in the day. I was super excited to try this flower out and get it into the shop. I’ve always been a fan of OG strains for their effects and this one doesn’t disappoint. 3.5 grams of the OG Kush goes for $40 at FlowerPatch. This OG Kush flower was grown by Molecular Farms in Washington, DC. While there are numerous cuts of various OG Kush phenos out there, Molecular Farms has a good cut. OG Kush flower is available at FlowerPatch through the medical marijuana program.
Effects:
After smoking about .5 grams the heady effects came on fast. The OG Kush produces an old-school heady-type high that hits you right behind the eyes. A very creative stone that stimulates the thought process. Writing this review was a breeze on the OG Kush. The strain is perfect if you need a little creative stimulation. You may notice slight anxiety after consuming but that soon melts away while the creative juices start to flow. Coming in at just under 20%, the OG Kush doesn’t have the highest THC content but it still provides a very uplifting, strong high.
Appearance and Smell:
Any smoker of the OG Kush strain from yesteryear probably remembers that classic OG Funk. While countless OG varieties have emerged over the years, the flower in the DC medical cannabis scene definitely reminds me of the OG’s of the past. While I would have preferred a stronger nose, I think other smokers will be happy with the smell of this flower. The light green buds are small but dense and frosty. My grinder made quick work of the smaller buds and the consistency was perfect to roll up.
Overall Review:
Overall, the OG Kush strain turned out to be a nice smoke that sparked my focus, energy and creativeness. Even though OG Kush is considered an indica-leaning hybrid, I experienced more uplifting, sativa-like effects. The classic OG Kush smell was faint but present. An overall smooth smoke that burned perfectly in my OCB rolling paper. Don’t be fooled by this OG’s lower THC content. A little goes a long way with the OG Kush grown by Molecular Farms and sold at FlowerPatch dispensary.
